Delivery checked and product questions addressed |
A useful first inquiry identifies the product, quantity, destination and required delivery date. Please send any pile drawings, specifications or bill of quantities already available. Include the drawing revision so that quotation and manufacturing discussions refer to the same document.
· For a defined product: shaft diameter, wall thickness, section length, helix dimensions, connection details, steel grade, coating and quantity.
· For a project needing product selection: location, application, geotechnical report, structural drawings, foundation loads and connection requirements.
· For delivery planning: destination port or delivery location, required arrival date and any unloading or handling restrictions.
If some details are unavailable, tell us what is still being developed. We can identify the next information needed and explain whether the available data supports a preliminary estimate.
For OEM orders with completed drawings, our review focuses on manufacturing feasibility, materials, dimensions, welding details, connections, coating and inspection requirements. We raise unclear or conflicting details before the manufacturing documents are confirmed.
For projects without a complete pile specification, preliminary product selection depends on the site conditions, loads and structural interfaces. Architectural layouts can explain the building arrangement, but geotechnical information, structural drawings and foundation loads are needed for a reliable engineering assessment.
We agree the scope of any engineering support, associated fees and deliverables separately. SSP provides preliminary product and application support; final foundation design, site verification and local approval remain with the customer and its appointed professionals. Supporting calculations and drawings are submitted for their review where included in the agreed scope.
The quotation should identify the products and drawing basis, quantities, material and coating requirements, prices, currency, supply scope, payment terms, estimated production lead time and validity period. Packing, inspection and documentation requirements should be included in the review.
For international supply, we clarify the quoted trade term, named port or place, and included charges. A preliminary estimate should identify assumptions such as an unconfirmed pile configuration, approximate quantity or estimated freight. A change in these inputs may require the quotation to be revised.
Before production, the customer and SSP confirm the commercial documents, product quantities, manufacturing drawings, technical specifications and agreed inspection requirements. Production release follows the order conditions, including the payment arrangements agreed for that order.
The production team checks each product specification, quantity, drawing revision and delivery requirement before scheduling work. Requested changes to dimensions, quantities, coating or delivery dates are reviewed and confirmed before the affected production work proceeds.
If a sample or first article is required, agree its configuration, approval criteria and timing before batch production is released.
The manufacturing route depends on the product configuration. For a typical fabricated helical pile order, it can include material verification, shaft cutting, hole making, helix forming, fit up, welding, dimensional checks and the specified surface treatment. Extensions, pile caps and connection components follow their corresponding drawings.
Welding is controlled through the applicable welding procedures and order requirements. Where hot dip galvanizing is specified, fabrication and the relevant checks are completed before coating, followed by coating inspection. Uncoated products follow the finish specified in the order.
Production can be organized in batches. Our production records track the current stage, cumulative accepted quantity, expected completion date and issues requiring attention. If an issue affects the delivery plan, the sales contact coordinates the update with the customer.
Inspection is based on the confirmed drawings, specifications and acceptance criteria. Depending on the order, checks cover material identification, shaft and helix dimensions, connections, weld appearance, coating condition and thickness, and component quantities. Additional tests and their reporting requirements should be agreed before production.
Customers can discuss factory visits or third party inspection during order review. The scope, timing and required access should be coordinated in advance so that inspection fits the production and shipping plan.

Packing list, weights, package identification and shipping documents |
The document list forms part of the agreed supply scope. Company certificates and other supporting records should be checked for their applicability and validity during the review.
Packing is planned around component length, weight, coating protection and the agreed transport method. Grouped bundles, skids, spacers and securing arrangements help keep components identifiable and reduce movement or contact damage during handling.
We check the packing quantities against the order and packing list, including lead sections, extensions, pile caps and specified connection hardware. Customers should tell us early about package size limits, unloading equipment or a need to group components by installation area. Special marking and packing arrangements are confirmed for the order.
Shipment coordination follows the agreed trade term and delivery scope. The parties confirm the forwarder arrangements, loading plan and required documents. Commercial invoices, packing lists and transport documents are prepared as applicable; certificates of origin or other destination documents should be requested during order review.
Factory completion, dispatch, vessel departure and expected arrival are separate milestones. Production lead time and estimated transit time should therefore be reviewed separately when working back from a site installation date. Shipping and arrival estimates are updated as transport information becomes available.
After receipt, check the package identification, quantities and visible condition against the packing list. If there is damage, a shortage or a product question, send the relevant package or product identification, photographs and a description so that we can investigate and coordinate the next steps.
Where product clarification or installation information is included in the supply scope, our team supports the customer with the relevant documentation. Site conditions, installation acceptance and any design changes remain subject to the project engineer and the agreed project requirements.
Yes. Send the information available and identify what is missing. A preliminary estimate may be possible with stated assumptions. The manufacturing specification must be confirmed before the affected products are produced.
Yes. OEM manufacturing to customer approved drawings is a core supply route. We review manufacturability and clarify the material, connection, coating and inspection requirements before order release.
It depends on drawing confirmation, order release conditions, material availability, production workload, quantity, surface treatment, inspection and transport. The confirmed schedule should distinguish factory completion from shipment and expected arrival.
Third party inspection can be discussed when the order is reviewed. Agree the inspection scope, timing, reporting requirements and commercial arrangements before production or shipment reaches the relevant stage.
The agreed document list determines the delivery package. Discuss material certificates, manufacturing and inspection records, coating records and shipping documents during quotation so that required records can be planned from the start.
To start a helical pile inquiry, send your drawings or available project information, quantities, destination and required delivery date to ryanzhang@ssppile.com. Our team can review the product and supply requirements and clarify the next steps.
