Custom Heavy-Duty Helical Piles are designed for demanding foundation projects where standard shaft sizes and configurations may not be sufficient. The system can be manufactured with larger-diameter round steel tubular shafts, thicker wall sections, single or multiple helices and customized connection systems to meet specific structural and geotechnical requirements. Common shaft diameters include 178 mm (7.01 in), 219 mm (8.62 in), 273 mm (10.75 in) and 324 mm (12.76 in). Larger diameters can also be manufactured for project-specific applications. Helix diameter, helix quantity, helix spacing, shaft wall thickness, pile length, connection type, pile cap and surface protection can be customized based on soil conditions, compression loads, tension loads, lateral loads, installation equipment and service environment. These piles are commonly used for industrial facilities, power transmission structures, substations, utility infrastructure, equipment foundations, large-scale solar projects, marine and civil infrastructure, and other high-load engineered foundation applications. For engineered projects, the final pile configuration should be developed based on geotechnical information, structural load requirements, installation torque, embedment depth, corrosion conditions and applicable project standards.
